The McNair Scholars Program supports first-generation and low-income, or traditionally underrepresented students prepare for success in graduate school. This occurs through specialized programming that assists McNair Scholars enroll in graduate school and high-quality research opportunities designed to support scholars from underrepresented backgrounds complete graduate degrees. Scholars are supported with a stipend for conducting original research and financial assistance for presenting that research at a conference in their discipline. Eligible scholars who have demonstrated strong academic potential and are committed to attending graduate school and pursuing a doctoral degree are encouraged to apply!
