Mary and Jerry Madsen established this scholarship fund in loving memory of their daughter, Sara Amasa Madsen, who graduated from Montana State University in 2019 with a degree in Biology with an option in Conservation Biology and Ecology. Sara was extraordinary, kind, and independent. Mary and Jerry established this scholarship to students that share heart and enthusiasm for the wilderness, particularly wildland firefighting and water resources, and pursuing research related to conservation biology.
