Crawford Wildlife Habitat Graduate Fellowship

Required Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree from Montana State University
  • Graduate student (master’s or doctoral)
  • Engaged in or interested in conducting research, education, outreach, and/or creative activities, and have a career interest in wildlife habitat areas

Current MSU graduate students shall apply for the Crawford Wildlife Habitat Graduate Fellowship through Cat Scholarships.
New graduate students to MSU shall apply for the Crawford Wildlife Habitat Graduate Fellowship directly through the Graduate School. Please refer to the application directions on the webpage listed above.

  1. Did you receive the Crawford Wildlife Habitat Graduate Fellowship award previously?

  2. Upload a one-page single spaced essay (500-word maximum) including the following.

    • Title of your project
    • A short (two sentence) abstract of your project
    • In the upper right-hand corner:
      • Last name, first name, middle name
      • State your department and your graduate program
      • Degree level (master’s/doctoral)
    • Emphasize how you will contribute to the understanding of wildlife habitat.
    • Your essay should be written clearly and avoid jargon and technical language.
    • Your essay must be written in a manner that is understandable and relevant, knowing that there will be an academically diverse group of faculty members reviewing all submissions.
